Im told we have heated tanks on our unit and there is a rocker switch at the control panel but its not marked. Also does all the tanks have heaters on them including the fresh water tank ? The dealer we bought it from (NEW) was not very knowledgable about the unit. We taught them a lot about it during our walk around when we picked it up. HELP ?

Hi robsinico,

If you have tank heaters from the factory, they should be on all holding tanks.

As for the switch, an unmarked switch is not unusual. Heartland has used a number of different switch types. It's common to have a wall-type illuminated light switch control the tanks. If the light is on, the heaters are on. They are not thermostatically controlled, so it's important to have a little water in each tank to dissipate the heat.

There have been a few builds that use a rocker switch to turn on the tank heaters.

The Yeti package also includes heat tape on the underbelly portion of the fresh tank feed line. The heat tape is thermostatically controlled. On most trailers, there is also a rocker switch to turn on the heat tape; usually marked "Yeti". On some trailers, there may not be a switch for the heat tape - it comes on when underbelly temps drop. If you don't have a switch for the heat tape, be aware that it can draw down your battery more quickly than you might expect if you're boon docking (no shore power).
