Hi everyone!
We've got 2 more that just signed up to join us for the Rally and we now have 11 spaces filled. Only 3 spaces left!!! We're getting a good size crowd, isn't this exciting?! It's going to be so much fun!

I want you all know that I had to sign a contract with Jackson Rancheria in order to get the discounted rate and to reserved these spaces so that we can all be parked together. If for any reason, you are unable to make it to the Rally, you need to let me know ASAP or no later than Oct 5th. Otherwise, I will be responsible for paying for your reservation dates out of my own pocket and I don't want to do that!! Being that we are not an official Chapter yet, I couldn't ask everyone for payment up front for their reservations, so I'm taking a chance at doing this for us.

I have a few plans for us! We'll do the Rally will have a Halloween Theme. The first evening of the Rally, we will do a Happy Hour w/BYOD (bring your own drink) and then an Appetizer Potluck, so we can all introduce ourselves & get to know one another. Saturday evening, we'll do a Dinner Potluck and also play a game where everyone is a winner! Each person who wants to participate in this game must bring a gift worth at least $10. unwrapped. It's a fun game! We'll explain the details of the game at the Rally. Any questions, please email me. This is my first time hosting a rally, so if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions or would like to help, feel free to post on this thread or email me...all input is very much appreciated. Also, since we do not get any funds from Heartland to help with our rally, anyone willing to help with donating plates, cups, bowls, plastic utensils, napkins or Halloween decorations, snacks or whatever is also appreciated!

Jackson Rally Oct 10-13th... please read

There are a few of us who will be arriving at the Rally a day earlier, Thursday Oct 9th. If anyone else is interested, please let me know ASAP, so that I can get a reservation in for you. We still get the same discounted rate of $30.00.

NOTE: The weekend of our Rally (Fri, Sat & Sunday) is now fully booked at the RV Park, meaning there are NO more sites available other than our 3 sites left that I have reserved for our Group. So, if you want to join us, get on the list now! This is a very popular new RV Park, so it gets booked very quickly!

We would like to join you folks for the rally at Jackson Rancheria if there is any space left. Have spent the past month on the coast of rainy Washington and will be in Oregon for most of September and then will be heading to So. Cal to see our kids. We would arrive on Friday the 10th. Have attended the first 3 International rallies but this would be the first regional for us.

OK...we've got 2 more added to the list and we now have 13 rigs signed up! So, there is only ONE site left to fill. If you know of anyone who is interested or have an SOB friend, invite them to join us and let me know. We've got a good size crowd signed up and it should be fun! There's alot of things you can do in the little town of Jackson or go to the casino to gamble and there's a shuttle that will take you there from the RV park. Or, maybe you just want to sit, relax & chat with your new friends from the group. In the next couple of weeks, please post any ideas or questions you have regarding the Rally. Keep checking back because there may be some new updates.

WOW! Isn't that GREAT, all 14 spaces are now filled for our Fall Rally! No more spaces available! OK, if any of you have any ideas or suggestions for the Rally, lets post them here.

Now, I will do a "waiting" list for those who would like to attend if there is a cancellation. If for any reason you are unable to make it to the Rally, PLEASE email me for your cancellation ASAP so that someone else will get the chance to come to the Rally. They don't have a Heartland RV, but from reading this site, I see that you welcome other RVers in your events.

I read about your NoCal Rally in Jackson Rancheria and would like to be added to your group if that is at all possible.

Welcome to the Heartland Forum! I'm sorry to say that we are fully booked for our Fall Central/CA Rally and there are no other available spaces at the RV park at this time. However, I will put you on our "waiting" list and you'll be the first to know if there is a cancellation. I will also be calling the RV park on Saturday, Sept 20th to see if there are any other cancellations from the other groups who have reservations there. Also, keep checking this thread for any updates. Let's hope that something comes up and that you'll be able to join us!

UPDATE for FALL RALLY, JACKSON RANCHERIA

Hi everyone~

I have decided to change the dates of our Potlucks. Appetizer potluck will now be held on Saturday evening and the Dinner Potluck will be on Sunday evening. Times will be announced at a later date.

Friday, most of you will be checking into the RV Park and will need the time to set up your rigs and get settled in. Check-in time is 3:00pm. This will also give us a chance for meet & greet each other, to explore the RV park, go to the Casino, relax or gather together for chat.

I would like some input from you guys!!! This is our FIRST Rally and I can't plan this all by myself, I'm sure some of you have some ideas(??).

Since we will have 14 Rigs and about 28 people attending, I have an idea on how to defray the cost of purchasing paper plates, cups, plastic utensils, napkins, etc needed for the Rally. This suggestion was from the Wagon master of my other RV group! So, what do you think?? We can do:
50/50 Raffle - winner gets 50% of money collected & other half for Rally misc.
Prize Raffle - everyone may donate a gift relating to RVing, we sell tickets & draw names for the winners. Money collected, pays for rally misc.
Anything left over can be saved for future rallies!

We will also be playing a game. EACH person who would like to participate will bring a gift worth at least $10. (unwrapped, but placed in brown grocery bag). One or two people can play from each Rig, the more gifts we have, the more fun the game is!

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!

First of all, let me explain that my wife Shirley is a Halloween Nut!!! She decorates more for Halloween than for Christmas.

We just got back from Gold Beach, Oregon late last month and while we were there they had a "Pot Luck Dinner" where everyone brought their own plates, utensils, and drinks.

Shirley and I would like to donate enough paper plates, napkins, and forks for the Appetizer potluck, and...for the potluck dinner, we would also like to donate a Halloween Commemorative Melamine full size dinner plate for each person to keep as a momento of the first NoCal/Central Cal FALL Rally along with enough napkins and forks for everyone. Since the theme of the event is Halloween, all the items supplied will carry that same theme. If you accept this offer, everyone only needs to bring their own drinks. Hope you like this idea. Please let us know right away if you can.

The 50/50 raffle and the raffle prize ideas sound like fun and why not do at least one of them as well. The left over money can be applied to next time. Whatever the group wants, we are here to help.

You have no idea how excited and grateful I am that you are offering all of this for our FIRST CENTRAL CA Rally (jumping up & down here)!! YES, of course I will accept your gracious offer!! Wow, how exciting to have all the supplies with a Halloween theme which makes it even more fun & special for us. We will also be having a special guest at our Rally which I will announce soon. Seems like our Rally is all coming together and it's going to be alot of fun!

Hi Teresa,

I just read your positive response to our offer to provide supplies (plates, napkins, etc.) for the two potlucks at the rally. We are very happy to help, and we can do more if you would like.

We just got back from the store and have purchased all the supplies. It's a good thing that we did this early. Halloween items in the stores are already being picked over quite a bit, and now they already have some Christmas items out on the floor for display.

As for the appetizer potluck that is still up for grabs, but for the potluck dinner Shirley is bringing her "World Famous", well maybe not so world famous POTATO SALAD!! I'll probably BBQ a meat dish as well.
