ATF: Mallard - Is there a factory ladder option for the 2017 Mallard M27?

Looking for any information and availability of a rear ladder for my 2017 Mallard M27 I just purchased. Camping World did not have any generic ladders to fit it due the large rear window and recommended contacting Heartland. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mallards are a derivative of another Heartland trailer, but are built exclusively for Camping World and to Camping World specifications. So it's possible the original Heartland model may come with a ladder, but Camping World specified the Mallard without it.

When trailers are built with ladders, there's reinforcement built into the roof where the ladder mounts. If the trailer doesn't come with a ladder, it probably doesn't have the reinforcement and won't support a roof-mounted ladder, even if it looks like it will fit.

Others have purchased telescoping or folding ladders. The telescoping models fit into a very small footprint and can be stored in your pass through basement storage.

Thanks for the quick response and info.. Just got trailer a week ago and had to take it back for a couple warranty issues and thought we would have them install one while it was there. Will look into the extension ladder option. A brief scan of the forum looks like it is full of useful tips. Look forward to spending more time on it!
