2018 North Trail 31BHDD flag pole?

Hey guys, this past weekend we picked up a brand new NorthTrail 31BHDD. with my old trailer, I mounted my 22' flagpole mount to the ladder. With the NorthTrails not having a roof access ladder, I am looking for options to mount a new flagpole holder. I am not a fan of the bumper or frame mounts, as I don't want the pole down that low. I am contemplating installing a "ramp mount" that bolts into the frame at the corner of the rear wall on a toy hauler. Any one have any advice on why or why not I can't do it this way. Thanks

Hi GLMPNG,

Congratulations on the new North Trail and welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

We have a lot of owners flying flags, so I'm sure you'll get some good feedback shortly.

I'm kind of surprised nobody has commented yet on if I can do this or not. What are you guys using for your flags?

I have a bracket that I put under the rear jack. the pole sits in the bracket and I think the pole is a 20' footer.

For he first few trips I inserted my 22’ flagpole in the hole in my rear cargo rack and it worked decently. I have since installed a “ramp mount” holder from Poles and Holders. Bolted it into the corner stud.

Great idea...I like the mount on the ramp.
