We own a 2016 Big Horn 3270rs fifth wheel.
We'd like to install a bike rack, has anyone done this?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

An aftermart rail system for the top of your truck would be the most solid choice IMO.

We have had 2 bike rack failures and after damaging our bikes the first time, they were completely destroyed the second. We believe the hitch is at least partly to blame and suggest strengthening it before adding a quality rack. We wrote about it in our blog - here are appropriate links:

Hope you find it helpful!

There is a whole lot of similar threads on here. If you have the factory installed lippert 1.25" bolt on receiver on your rig....it is very weak. That receiver allows a lot of flex, so the load can really get to bouncing, and that is where the real issue lies. If you feel you want to put a hitch on the back of the fiver, I suggest you have one custom welded on that is more substantial. I ended up putting a 2" curt receiver on the front of my truck for the bikes, and that has been idiot proof.

Plus the fine print on every bike rack I had..states if used on the back of an RV, the warranty is void.

What kind of bike rack do you have and are you happy with it?

I plan on strengthening my pull out bike rack. We haven't even taken delivery of our 2011 North Country 30FKS yet, but fully plan on using the rack for our two mountain bikes next Spring, and securing them firmly.

I have a curt 2" receiver on the front of the truck....so I went with a curt (made in the usa) bike rack to match. Love the quality, and it is rock solid. Think I got them both etrailer.
