I just purchased my 2018 32RS and am curious about the GVWR. I have looked at over 15 different 32RS's and a hand full have shown 14K and the rest 16K. I am trying to confirm this since it is a significant difference in the CCC.

Re: ATF: Bighorn - GVWR 2018 Traveler 32RS

On the off door side of your rig near the front there should be a tag stating the GVWR of your rig.

This is what it says on the Heartlandrv.com web site. Like others have said, check your tag offdoor side up front.

Re: Bighorn - GVWR 2018 Traveler 32RS

On the unit that I purchased and came off the assembly line about two weeks ago. I talked to the factory about the 15,500 GVW which only gave it about 2000 lbs of carry capacity. They told me that they hadn't changed the specs in the brochure and online yet and it was actually 16000 GVW. They also said that its a big deal to change the specs due to regulation and sometimes the brochures and the stickers are not correct.

So what I'm saying is you should contact Heartland and talk to them to get the actual specs.

I remember the old truck campers. Their weight ratings and stickers were all over the place.

Re: Bighorn - GVWR 2018 Traveler 32RS

The actual spec, the one that is the legally required spec, is on the plaque as pictured a few posts back. What someone tells you, what's on the website, what's in a brochure should be in sync with the plaque. But if they're not, the plaque shows the official GVWR.

Very, very infrequently, the plaque will be wrong. If it's lower than it's supposed to be, Heartland will send a corrected plaque on request. If it's higher than it's supposed to be, that triggers a recall where a new plaque is sent out to all affected owners.

So if you think the plaque is wrong, call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready. If the brochure or website is wrong, rest assured that the plaque cannot be changed to match a mistake in the brochure or website. That's not how things work.
