Thoughts on using Eternabond

Hi all. Hope everyone is excited about gearing up for camping season!

I have a question regarding Eternabond. The caulk located on the rear side corners of my 5th wheel keeps opening up. It happens where the fiberglass meets the vertical metal stripping. I have caulked the area probably 5 times since the second season of owning the unit. We are now going into the 5th season with it. The Dicor seals for a while, however, I am getting tired of doing it at least once a season.

I am wondering if the Eternabond would keep its seal better than the caulk as that area seems to have some flex. So far I do not have this problem anywhere else on the camper.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I have found some brands of caulk are not as flexible or “sticks” as well as others. My favorite is Proflex brand. It’s very sticky until it dries, and I’ve never found it to crack or chalk. The Eternabond tape is even better, but depending on location, not as aesthetically pleasing.
