    Jr products modular switch removal

Does anyone know how to remove one of these switches? I would think the outer part would pop off but when I pry under it I feel like Iím pulling the screws out of the wall. Iím wanting to replace it with a dimmer switch but got stumped on this one right out of the gate. Itís in a cy4200 if that matters. Thanks.

I replaced the one for my can lights over the sofa a while back. If I recall, you need to pop the housing off to access the mounting plate screws. There might be a small notch on the top or bottom to insert a small screwdriver to pry it off. The replacement switch I used was a bit different, so I made a mounting plate similar to the ones I made for the bedroom reading lamp mod I did so I could attach it to the wall.

Thanks JohnDar. Yea I pulled on the toggle button and it popped off revealing a couple of screws holding the housing to the wall. Kinda backwards from what I would expect.
