Recliner sofa peeling

I have a 2014 Cyclone 3110 for a little more than 5 years. The finish on the sofas have just started peeling. It appears to be a common failure with the Lippert products. The wife wants to replace the furniture. Before I go to purchasing residential quality furniture I was wondering if anyone has purchased the RecPro recliner and how does its “faux leather” hold up to RV usage.

Had the same issue. We ended up putting residential furniture in our fifth wheel. replaced the two recliners, with a theater seating unit. And the couch with recliners built into it. Much lighter than the RV furniture.

It is not unusual for fake leather to peel. I purchased a sofa from Lazy Boys with what they called bonded leather. It started peeling around 5 years old.

Mine too, after 3 or 4 years it started to peel, took everything to the dump and replaced it with lazyboy recliners

We just replaced our "peeling" furniture in our 2013 3010RE with the RecPro Charles 67" Double RV Wall Hugger Recliner Sofa w/ Console and RecPro Charles 65" RV Sleeper Sofa w/ Hide A Bed. It took longer to remove the "old peeling" couch and two "old peeling" recliner rockers then to install the new RecPro furniture. We selected the Chestnut color as the 2013 model year 3010RE had black counter tops. We really like the new furniture and would recommend RecPro products and the customer service.

Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards the 70” wall hugger theater recliner.

Hello all, this is a follow-up to what I did. I removed the original sofa recliner and purchased a replacement wall hugger recliner locally. I was able to make a dining set using the original table tops that came with my rv. I had to purchase shorter table legs from a local RV shop. I was able to find very nice folding dinette chairs at Costco. Below are photos of before and after. I stow the tables and chairs for traveling which gives me plenty of space in the dining area of the slide.

Sorry, it is difficult to find free hosting of photos on the internet. This forum would not let me directly upload any photos.
Might I suggest you research one of the four Heartland/Cyclone Facebook pages that serves to compliment the members of this excellent forum. It is easy to upload photos on Facebook.

Photos.Google.com is one place.

If you have Amazon Prime membership, amazon.com/photos is another.

Mine is a 2013 but its been peeling worse than a bad sunburn for a few yrs. Lippert offered a 40 % discount on new, but i could buy residential cheaper than theirs with a discount. I am currently n the process of recovering. ts surprisingly easier than i thought it would be. The fabric is not different colors its just direction its brushed. I am halfway thru. I still have the corner section to do yet. Recovering for under $200.
