Landmark Sighting

We just spent the week in the White Mountains region of northern New Hampshire. We climbed Mt Washington in the steam powered Cog Railway. It was 52 degrees at 6900 feet and 20 mph winds. The sky was clear with fantastic views. We also went to the Franconia Notch State park and took the tram car to the top of Cannon Mt. That was 4100 feet high and a mile long cable. We hiked the Flume Gorge trail through the park. It was gorgeous with the water and the rock walls. We are staying at the KOA in Twin Mountain and today a Newport pulled in. So now there are two Landmarks here. We are leaving tomorrow for New York and back to PA on Tuesday.

No us but we were in that area last week. Stayed at Beech Hill CG in Twin Mountains.
Did the COG too but we were unlucky with the weather. Summit was fogged in during our visit!!!

The train brakeman said that there are only about 15 days a year when the weather is clear. I guess we were lucky. Would have liked to see a moose.
