Gonna replace the fire place.

I have a red flame now but it just shuts itself off. Guessing a short inside. Is there a better replacement ? Or do they all suck? I’d kind of like one that has a small vent off it where you can run heat to another room. Say like a furnace has vents to the room.

First off they are all made in china, so yes they are cheapy throw aways. If you find out what brand it is, you might be able to get parts. Other wise, honestly the newer type ceramic heaters you can buy just about anywhere are better for just heat production, and they are portable so you can put them anywhere.
