I have a Bighorn 3970RD that I will be
leaving sit empty for the month of
December. Some nights will get down
around freezing. How do I make sure
all water lines are completely drained

Hi dafpmway,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

You really need to winterize, either with compressed air, or with RV antifreeze. Take a look at our owner-written Winterization Guide for specifics. If you have a Residential Refrigerator, the Residential Refrigerator guide covers how to winterize the fridge and ice maker water feed line.

There is a brass fitting you can buy at many camper outlets, and even at walmart, that screws into the water input fitting...and has a air tool type fitting on it. Then you can attach an air hose, and use compressed air to blow out the lines. I try not to use anything more than 10PSI
