Shower water pressure 2016 3585RL

Hello,
I have an interesting finding about my shower water pressure.
By accident, we found that if you turn on the shower, and then turn on the bathroom sink water all the way then turn the bathroom sink water off,
the shower water pressure is noticeably different (more pressure / flow)

Anyone have any idea why this would be the case?
I'm using a standard metal regulator on the inlet hose at the spicket.
Also have the Oxygenics shower head.

Thanks.

rmathews,
Could you possibly have a calcium build up?
Maybe soak the shower head in some distilled vinegar over night.

We have the same shower head. In the last two fivers we have owned, I havent noticed the issue you are describing.

The only thing that comes to mind is the one way valve on the outlet of the water heater....maybe sticking a little, when your PSI is low? This valve on the newer models is brass. Its function is obviously to allow hot water to flow only in one direction.

If you have one of the cheap in line water pressure regulators it could very well be the problem.
I suggest that if you don't have one like this you should get one to replace what you are using now.

Peace
