Cutting 427 bed frame down to an RV queen

I cut our 427 queen frame down to a RV queen (neither of us are big people). This gave us roughly another 6" of space to manuver around the bed. I'll have to snap a picture of the cut frame.

Nice - had you wanted to, could you have skewed the bed to the left a bit to allow more floor/walk-around space on the right?

I know sometimes slide mechanisms dictate what can be done.

Correct the slide limited us as to what we could do.

We really like this camper and I'd say the bedroom layout is one of the few things we don't care for. With that said it isn't like we dance around the bedroom so it isn't a big deal.

Add the cheapest 12 x12 Home Depot stick on floor tiles and it will be so much easier to slide the mattress around.
