4011ERD wasted space?

I have a 2019 4011ERD, behind the 6 drawers in the kitchen, on the wall that separates the elevated living room from the kitchen there seems to be about 2 feet of wasted storage space behind the drawers.
im contemplating cutting access holes from the bottom storage to expand that storage space.
has anybody done this already?
I’m assuming the wall underneath there is possibly load bearing as the reclining couch is right above it.

im open to any comments, suggestions or ideas thanks.

A lot of wasted space behind wall of re275. Ideas for adding door or small shelves?

I have a similar place, but unfortunately, there is no access to it. I would need to put in an actual outside storage door.
