Appears it uses the same nylon core and rubber rings so I see no point in getting excited. It’ll still leak if a rubber ring fails. Rubber rings warranted for 5 years

Don't have an answer fro you Mr. M.

But the replacement plastic core listed on that page is listed as legacy only.

I would think that a brass housing would be better suited for the core, plastic or brass. Less chance of it deforming under pressure, which may have been the root cause of all the failures.

Regardless, Legacy just might be a bad term to list the old parts under.
