Electrical issues

This is my first post here. I purchased a brand new 2018 heartland trail runner 30USBH. everything worked great last year. This year however, the fuse for the blue lights beneath the camper keep blowing when turned on. This in turn makes the lights in the front bedroom
not work. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Hi Kvanmac,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

You have a short to ground somewhere and will have to try to locate it by examining wires. I'd start with the outside wire and try to find where the power wires originate. If the wires go through the frame, there's a good chance you'll find a problem there.

Those blue lights are most likely LED's. The strip of LED's have been know to get damaged, pinched or punctured by a screw or something.... or just plain short out. They arent super high end parts. Be careful, if they are shorted somewhere, they can get hot and cause damage due the heat if left on in a shorted condition. Thats most likely why that fuse is blowing.
