Battery Disconnect ??

Newby Questions:
We just purchased a 2018 Bighorn 3010.
What is the best way to keep the batteries charged for:
A. 2-3 weeks before next outing
B. 3 months before next outing

Our unit is 50 amp...any problem with using adaptors, and plugging into regular
wall outlet ? How long is 'too long', to be plugged into same ?
Does battery disconnect switch need to be "ON" (battery disconnected), to charge batteries
Thanks

Hello,

15 amp outlet will run your convertor to charge the batteries. If you have access to power you can leave it in for several weeks with no issues, no different than a Fulltimers living in their coach.

The battery disconnect switch will have to be on as well.

^^^^^^^ That's what we did for a year with our 50amp BC ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Only had a std 110 outlet that we used for several years with old coach (30amp) and used a adapter/reducer. After we got the BC w/50amp anaconda cord, we wrestled w/ same outlet/adapter for a year. Got to be a PITA. Had a fella come and install reg 50 RV outlet.....ahhhhhh problem solved for that at least. But, we never had any issues using the 110 outlet and reducer/adapter for battery charging, lights, fridge and even 1 A/C (old coach). Same thing w/ the BC, just didn't use the A/C then, but no problems now.
