Hi rocknroll,
You should be able to start the furnace by setting the thermostat to HEAT/FURNACE mode (as opposed to COOL/Air Conditioning, or FAN mode. Then set the desired temperature - perhaps 68 (F). When the interior temperature drops to about 66 degrees, the furnace should start.
If you have a Dometic digital thermostat, you'll want the FAN mode to be on AUTO or the air conditioner blower will run along with the furnace.
If you have more than one thermostat (you'll have one for each air conditioner), only one of them operates the furnace.
You need to have propane in your tanks, and the tank valves must be opened verrrrrrry slowly or overflow protection devices will stop the flow of gas. If you have air in the lines, you might light the burners on your range for a minute or two to get gas flowing.
When the thermostat calls for heat, the furnace blower should run for about 25 seconds and then the gas valve will open and there'll be an ignition attempt.
