Hitch class for 1st time trailer purchaser

We will pick up our first travel trailer next week. It is a 2017
North Trail Caliber, dry weight about 6100 lbs. The dealer is installing a hitch
that covers sway and weight. Donít know brand name.
What class should we get? 3 or 4?
    Info we reviewed below.
    Thank you,
    Chas

Over the top, or not...hitch class.

Class 3 hitch goes to 6000 lbs. Our trailer is about 6100 dry.
Should we get a class 4?

    Detail below:

Class III: Weight-carrying and/or weight- distributing, depending on the vehicle and hitch specifications. Weight-carrying designs are rated up to 6,000 pounds GTW with a maximum hitch weight of 600 pounds. Weight-distributing designs are rated up to 10,000 pounds GTW with a maximum hitch weight of 1,000 pounds. A Class III receiver has a 2-inch square opening.
Class IV: Weight-carrying and/or weight- distributing, depending on the vehicle and hitch specifications. Weight-carrying designs are rated up to 10,000 pounds GTW with a maxi- mum hitch weight of 1,000 pounds. Weight- distributing designs are rated up to 14,000 pounds GTW with a maximum hitch weight
of 1,400 pounds. A Class IV receiver usually has a 2-inch square opening.

    Hello,

Need to use maximum GVWR rating for the hitch. The Class 3 is already over weight before you load the trailer.

Gross weight - Dry Weight = Cargo Capacity

Thank you Brian. Spoke with dealer and the hitch is sway and weight distribution and has 1000 tongue weight rating making it a Class 4.
    One more detail dealt with.
