Landmark San Antonio 2013

Is anyone having disintegrating problems with their sofa and recliners? The fake leather began cracking and now has peeled and the padding has shifted and compressed. Short of replacing them does anyone have suggestions as to how to fix them.

This subject comes up quite frequently. Our 2015 Cyclone couches are now in a landfill. As has been stated in past threads, the problem exists not only with rv’s, but in some of the furniture in brick and mortar homes everywhere. And it’s not that the furniture was cheap. The fabric was just a bad idea. You can either reupholster or do what we did. We thru it out and used a bad situation to make our space more user friendly. It turned out to be a positive for us.

Yes its pretty common. We replaced our stock recliners with best brand home furnishings in our big horn. They make a line of smaller furniture that fits perfect in RV's. We replaced the couch as well, and got rid of that fold out bed contraption.

And now in our landmark, we bought some lazy boy chairs, to replace the OEM theater seating. That pleather (plastic-leather) material is just not made to wear very long. Under that pleather, our furniture was made with mostly rough cut OSB plywood, so it wasnt worth trying to repair in my mind anyway. We just junked the stuff.
