We are thinking about purchasing a Mallard M260 with a dry weight of approximatley 5400lbs, I was wondering if anyone else tows a trailer the same weight range with the 3.5 Ecoboost with 3.31 gears, and what thier thoughts are?

Hi bwagler,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

A Mallard M260 has a GVWR of 6,900 lbs. By the time you add your gear, a few tools, clothing, kitchen stuff, and a little water and propane, you'll end up closer to the GVWR and to the empty weight.

So it would be more useful to get advice about your truck being able to tow 6,900 lbs.

I'm sure you'll get some answers shortly.

I personally would not do it.
If you ever loose the Ecoboost you loose your towing ability.
I would purchase a different vehicle.

You will need to find the GVWR for your truck.
I know that some F-150's have a pretty high GVWR.

Peace
Dave
