Hi JADJR,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

I don't think anyone will be able to help you without some info about your truck. Make/Model/Year/Engine.

If you are considering Donaldson filters, I might guess that you are driving a Dodge Cummins diesel, since Cummins buys their filters from Donaldson. I personally use the DBL series premium oil filter. See: https://www.donaldson.com/en-us/eng...e/replacement-filters/donaldson-blue-filters/

Cummins also delivers their new diesel engines to Dodge with Valvoline Blue Oil in the engine. https://www.valvoline.com/our-products/heavy-duty

Since my truck engine is getting "long in the tooth", I use Valvoline High mileage Diesel oil, that I order through Walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Valvolin...V_n8MVgycFofdZz6RVFMLQboyi0wk4mBoC_tIQAvD_BwE

Don't forget to change that fuel filter, too, with a Donaldson product.
On edit: The Dodge/Donaldson fuel filters DO NOT MEET the Cummins recommendation of a 3 micron fuel filter. There are You Tube and other websites that say that fuel filters not meeting the Cummins criteria contribute to premature diesel engine failure. I use an AFE (Brand) 44-FF010, $30, 3 micron fuel filter cartridge I buy from Xtreme Diesel Performance.

On edit: also use a special, large surface, washable, AEM (Brand) 07087, $80, air filter.
