Wondering if anyone else has had any problems with the siding of their RV? We have a 2017 Big Horn 3160EL and bought from the dealer in March of 2018 so we have not had it long. We have done some traveling with it but for just having it 30ish months and to have so many spots that are bubbling up from the walls and now one of the big bubbles have cracked, we are really concern how they fix these. We have the extended warranty for the outside and inside, but wanted to know if anyone else had this problems. Thanks. Dreams do come true.

Hi trw0601,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

Sorry to hear you're having problems. It sounds like you have some delamination of the exterior walls.

I think you may have a 3 year structural warranty, so you should contact Heartland right away. Call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready. Try to get some pictures that show the problem and be ready to email them.

Delamination is usually due to water intrusion so don't be surprised if the Customer Service Rep brings that up. The trailer manual calls for inspecting caulking and sealants several times per year to prevent water intrusion. But if the RV sat on a dealer lot for a year or longer, without any maintenance, the problem could have started then.

As for your extended warranty, if that's something you bought from the dealer or a third party, you should read the policy to see what's covered and what's excluded. Many of these policies are oriented toward appliance coverage and don't help with structural problem.

Teresa, check out the Events tab in the tool bar above and check out the Wisconsin chapter rally in the Dells. Maybe you can fit it into your summer schedule.

Peace
Dave
