that a good way to do it...

on the rv's ive had that didnt have gensets and which i didnt install one, i carried the genset in the bed of the pickup, and just ran a cord to the trailer..... and i could park my pickup a bit away from the trailer so that the noise wasnt bothersome, as most gensets tend to be...

if i was storing it like you are, for convenience, I would remove the exhaust from it and have it modified (extension pipe welded onto the muffler) so that when I wanted to use the generator, I could slip a section of flex pipe or silicone exhaust tubing on it, and allow it to exhaust to the outside, leaving the door to the compartment open for ventilation, of course.... then I wouldnt have to pick it in and out as you are shown to be doing....
