2012 MPG (19’ pull behind) floor repair (is this a bonded floor?)

Hi Campers! We have a 2012 MPG pull behind trailer with two floor issues (spongy/yukky spots). We’re trying to find someone to fix it for less than the cost of a new camper (hah). Does anyone know if this model has a ‘bonded floor’? Every repair person is asking. We’ve already addressed the...

New MPG Owners, Question on 12 Volt Battery

Hello! We just purchased a 2012 MPG (greag condition) and we’re figuring things out as we go. This is our first camper of this type! We put a new 12 volt battery in and the dome lights don’t work. (They should work off the battery, right?). We’ve searched but have not located any bypass...

No power to trailer from 12V Battery MPG 180

Hello everyone. This is my first RV trailer that I bought last week. The first owner of the trailer was a solder and he wasn't here to give me information about the trailer, and I am very new to RV trailers, but I am a handyman. So I replace the old battery with a new 12v deep cycle RV battery...

    MPG Slide Operaration Manually

There is a closed thread that discusses how to manually operate the slide on an MPG 181. Since that thread is close I thought I would add what I have learned about the topic here. Go to happijac.com and click on slide Outs; then download and read the four page users manual. The manual contains...

Heartland Survey RE: Reintroduction of MPG

I was just doing a search on Heartland MPG, and went to the Heartland website. A survey form popped up with questions about interest in the reintroduction of the MPG. If anyone is interested in sharing your opinion with Heartland, here is your chance. MPG by Heartland is a discontinued...

    Lug nut torque for MPG

What is the correct torque for the lugs on the single axle, 3500 lbs, MPG 183 with 5 lugs? The lugs need a 13/16 inch deep thin wall socket to remove or tighten the lugs. The rims are Vision, Legend series, 141 I think! They have 205/75R15 range C tires.

    TV cable attaching

Ok we have a new 2011 MPG 184 and love it. Had jacks installed on the front I hate wiggle and use a temperpedic topper on the mattress. We have our bath towels in pillowcases for extra pillow. We travel with a Clumber Spaniel about 78lbs who loves the couch flattened at night for HIS bed. Oh we...

MPG Compartment Locks - Difficulty to use

My wife and I picked up our MPG 181 this afternoon because we plan on heading out next week. When I attempted to open one of the outside compartments, I found that the key would not open the lock. I could have tried to force the lock to open, but did not want to break off the whimpy key in the...

Steps to set-up and store tent end in the MPG 186T

We just purchased a 2012 MPG 186T and are a bit puzzled on how to set-up and store the tent end. The dealer tech was not really able to show us and the salesperson was not too helpful either. I was hoping to find some instructions as all the permutations we tried seem to have some drawbacks...

New Heartland MPG Owner's Electical Woes

So I just bought an MPG 182 2011 off Craigslist, and wasn't really given a rundown on how things work. My first question - is there anything I need to do to get it to draw off battery power? I drove it home, and went to turn on the lights and nothing is on. I plugged it into an extension...

    Movin' On Up

My wife and I have been tent trailer campers for almost the past 30 years. Lately, we (or I) have been looking at moving up to a hard sided RV. Last year we looked at quite a few travel trailers in the 18-22 foot category. We were recently on a family camping trip to Newport, Oregon and had...

    Travel Trailer Comparison Shopping

I attended the Tampa RV Super Show today and just returned with a handful of brochures. RV Shows are great. I enjoyed comparing several manufacturers side-by-side. I spent a lot of time looking at the Edge and the MPG today. I'm also looking at some other manufacturers, but I love the overall...
