If you're in Texas (and nearby areas), get ready for an arctic air mass coming to visit next week. If you have a refrigerator in a slide, the ice maker water feed line is probably exposed to outside air. As soon as temps get below freezing, the exposed poly tubing will freeze and break. It doesn't matter whether you're using the trailer. The line will freeze.
Now is the time to evacuate water out of the ice maker water feed line. If you have a Residential Refrigerator, take a look at our owner-written Residential Refrigerator Guide. If you have a traditional gas/electric Dometic or Norcold unit, consult your refrigerator manual for winterizing instructions. If you can't find the manuals, our Winterization Guide covers the Dometic RM1350. Others are probably similar.
