I'm looking for feedback on towing this unit with my 2005 2500 HD. Its a 6.0 with 285s and 4:10 gears.

Thank you!

More information is needed.
What cab style do you have, crew cab, extended cab?
What is the weight of your truck? The weight of the trailer?
The weight capacity of your tires, load range?
The 2005 Good Sam Towing Guide shows your truck having a tow capacity from 8,500#to 10,000# depending on your body style. With a combined weight rating of 16,000#.
I'm guessing that trailer has a GVWR of about 12,000. You need to look at the sticker on the trailer for the correct information.

Peace

Looking at newer 2500HDs with 6.0 Vortec the tow rating looks as though it may be higher. Looks like I may be SOL with my current truck.

Thanks,

Mike
