Under the rear of my trailer I have a bracket on each side.... It appears that you can bolt something to them ...

Any ideas what they are for???

Sorry - thought that would be obvious since I was on the Heartland Big Horn forum....

It’s a 2015 Heartland Bighorn...

It’s not a trailer hitch.... I’ll attach a pic shortly...

Facing the rear of the trailer, two brackets (one on each side underneath) kinda an L shape to them....

Looks like something for a storage tray or spare tire carrier. You'd have to call to know for sure. Heartland may not have put them there. They buy a lot of chassis from makers like Lippert that make standard/reusable frame configurations. It may have been intended for a purpose Heartland didn't end up using for your Bighorn.

No idea what it’s for.... I gave a separate spare tire rack so it’s not that....

Not a big deal but .....

Many years ago you could get a 1.25 inch receiver from lippert as an option on heartland RVs. Mainly used for a bike rack mounting. Its weight capability was reported as as 125lbs. I had one on my big horn back in 2013. The bolt on receiver flexed so bad, as the RV bounced down the road, it caused the bike rack to fail 2x times.
