I noticed the same problem many years back, and was concerned that my heating and cooling were escaping there. I looked around and bought 2 - 42 inch pieces of 2-1/4" x2-1/4" foam weatherstripping for air conditioners. I cut lengths for the ends of the slides, and cut pieces from the rest to go the length of the slide. I then glued the foam pieces together with rubber cement to make a short sided. long center length "U" shape that I tuck under the inside lip of the refrigerator slide when I arrive, and pull up and store before I bring the slides in before departing.

Here is a Walmart.com listing on the weatherstripping foam: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Frost-Ki...-1-4x2-1-4x42-A-C-Tape-By-Thermwell/226240587
