Fan runs all the time

We are new to RV's... when we turn the furnace on (it does get warm)... the "forced air" fan runs constantly even when the furnace (gas flame for heat) goes on and off, so that a lot of the time the air blowing is cold. Is this normal? And it is LOUD... please advise. It seems like the fan would only come on when the gas/heat is on?

The fan comes on before the gas is burning in the heater, and stays on after it shuts off for a period of time till the furnace cools down normally. And yes it is loud. Also due to the fact it takes a lot of 12 volt power to run that furnace, be sure your doing the heating when plugged in to AC power. Otherwise it will run down the battery is a short period of time.
