Flipped the Cabinet Door for easy access.

I have been looking for spring cabinet struts for the long cubby/compartment door above the fireplace and just below the TV that hold the DVD Player. The door opens up and there is nothing to keep it up so you can put a disk in the player. Yesterday I had a blinding flash of the obvious and I remove the door hinges and flipped the door horizontally the reattached the hinges on the bottom frame of the cabinet. Now the door opens down and when I find a support bracket it will make a nice little table when its down. On another similar project I installed 170 degree hinges on the cabinet doors under the sink so they open all the way for easy access to storage space.

Then add you a little piece of jack chain and you'll have a nice sturdy shelf, if you have a slide in that area make sure it clears with the shelf down, it was mentioned that they were installed to flip up because some models did not have clearance from a slide wall if left out.
