Generator and 120v power issue

While testing my generator today, I noticed that the microwave and the living area air conditioner will not power up while running off of the generator. This has worked in the past.

I’ve always been able to run most every 120v component simultaneously off off generator. It tested fine yesterday.

When I turn off the gen and it auto switches back to shore power, the microwave and air conditioner work fine.

I am out of my tree with electrical systems beyond the breaker box.

Any ideas for further troubleshooting?

Sounds like one power leg is missing. 1st thing to check is the front of the generator. There are 2 circuit breakers there and one of them probably tripped.
