Generator fine, but 12v issues

Hello all,

I am hoping this is a quick issue. 5500W Onan Genset running fine. It did stop and I received a 14 error code, "no fast enough" took it to Onan, they cannot recreate the issue. When the genny is running, it is running all of the 110v and the AC units, but it is not charging the battery and all of the 12v lights are kind of flickering. I am guessing inverter/converter issue , but just am not that knowledgeable about it.

What should I be looking for and testing? I have a multimeter and know what I am doing, just not in the 12v world. Thanks for the help, hopefully something easy.

make sure the converter is getting 110vac at the input; then check the converter fuses on the 12vdc output. If no output then the converter is the problem.

Just an update. After some troubleshooting, I found the culprit. Heartland, in their infinite engineering wisdom, decided to place the receptacle that the converter was plugged into, in the roof of the mechanical crawlspace. The plug was just hanging vertically, allowing gravity over the year, as well as all the bumps in the road to shake it out of the receptacle and fall down.

This was remedied by zip tying the plug into place and screwing a small screw through the tail of the zip tie into the wood the receptacle was mounted on.

Thanks for the help/
