Noticed after winterizing the Bighorn that I lost large amount of anti-freeze into water heater both valves were in by-pass position. My question is the hot water heater
by-pass valve looks to be brass is there a way to reseal it or is it a replaceable item?

I doubt that you can repair the valve.
Depending on what valve you have, I would just replace it.
If it is a Swan Industries RMW340 and looks like THIS ONE they are available on Amazon.com.

The B&B Molder 3-way valves are not repairable. You will need to replace the valve(s) with the one noted by cookie or buy some from Amazon.com such as the 1/2" Apollo 3-way valve. The problem with the B&B Molder supplied valve is the valve stem engagement to the plastic handle is so small that the plastic handle will strip out and not rotate the valve stem. The valve stem extension is only about 3/32", not enough to put a wrench on the stem to rotate the valve stem and ball in the Teflon seat.
