How to disconnect stereo in HEARTLAND MALLARD TAILWIND T180BH?

Has anyone figured out how to completely disconnect the stereo so NO lights remain on the panel? 💡Holding power button in for 5 seconds as manual suggest does not turn off the unit, just sets it in standby mode with lights on that are keeping me up at night. Should I pull a fuse for this in the circuit panel? If so, which one?

Do you know what else is on that circuit? You may be disconnecting a safety device, such as carbon monoxide detector or the LP detector.

Why not install a switch near the unit that cuts the power to it comletely. You would have to remove the unit to access the wiring. That way you could easily turn it on whenever you desire.

Well I ended up unscrewing the stereo panel and pulling the wires to it connected in the back of the unit. it would be nice if Mallard made an onn/off switch that is accessible to the unit for easy powering off.

I would have just taped something over the front of it at night so you could still use it when you wanted to.
