ICM870 AC Soft Start

I'm wondering if anyone has installed the ICM870 Soft Start unit on their Domestic Penguin 15K BTU air/heat pump conditioner(s).

I'm not interested in any other brand, the ICM unit is about $150 compared to quite a bit more for other brands. I stumbled across the ICM unit and was kinda impressed with everything but the size.

YouTube has videos of the unit being installed on residential units that have 70 amp surge and were lowered into the 20s with the unit. I can't remember if the 16 amps rating refers to the "lock" current.

Why don't you call ICM. They claim to have RV units.

I have called them and can't get technical support to answer. I don't think they have an RV unit, per say, but rather their 870 unit is universal.
