Thanks for the easy fix idea. I copied your crate foam pads idea and installed it last night. Like you said, <$15. I put the left over pieces on the sides and rear of the television.
I insulated the Cabinet with the same foil insulation used in the walls and sealed it using vapour barrier tape. This not only eliminated the drafts but also keeps out the cold. Because of the thinness of the material it does not effect the TV Mount.
