Any advice for nearby activities?

You'll be very close to Amish country. Check out Berlin, Charm, Winesburg etc. Very nice area, lots of great places to eat and shop.

Here is a link to Amish Country Holmes County. http://www.visitamishcountry.com/ We live about 50 miles SE of Mohican. Amish Country is about 15-20 miles east. One option. Mid Ohio Sports Car Course http://www.midohio.com/. That is west about 20 miles. Gotta love Ohio one of the few places you can go from no electricity to 200 MPH in less than 50 miles!

There is canoeing/kayaking few miles from the state park.
