I have some dead LEDs lights in our bedroom neckless do I just remove the screws and lower the woodwork to get to the led strip?

I have been searching online for replacement LED rope lights for the bedroom ceiling rose. The rope is 1/2" in dia and has a flat piece on the side I am thinking they attach with staples. Any thoughts?

Why not use doubled sided tape from 3M. Find the tape with the red color words, it is what is used on automotive use.
