Panicking no more... we are new owners of a Big Horn 3670 RL (also upgraded F250 to F350)

Hi to all....we picked up our new 2012 Big Horn 3670 RL on June 29th and by July 1st we had braved 100 mph winds on our first trip out of the driveway. A storm that lasted about 5 minutes ended with a tree on both the new RV and our Ford F250 truck, quite a bit of damage but no injury. Thankfully, all our grandkids were in the house while we were backing the new rig down our daughters driveway. Within minutes we were caught in the middle of a storm that left tremendous damage for miles around. After all of the trauma and shock was over and a few holes were patched we settled down to spending time enjoying our new? RV. We love this 5th wheel and can't wait to have many happy adventures with it. We purchased our first 5th wheel last year and decided that we loved the life style and wanted to make things easier and have hopefully less things to worry about with a newer model. There is so much to be happy about with the Heartland 5th wheels. I am hoping that after dealing with all of the storm damage we don't end up with any other problems.

Because we had damage to our truck it helped us decide to trade it in for a 2008 Ford Super Duty F350 6.4L diesel. Thanks to all of the helpful people on this forum we started realizing that with the Ford F250 we would worry every time we added new gear or upgrades. We pick the new truck up on Tuesday and hopefully won't be disappointed. In the meantime, we have spent quite a bit of time camping and entertaining in the driveway but weare also planning a couple of campground adventures with friends. For our first long trip we are caravanning to Yellowstone with family and then on to CA to visit more family. Back home for birthdays and holidays and then hopefully heading south for the winter.

We would love hearing from any of you with suggestions for traveling and favorite parks and sites to see in Yellowstone National Park, California and Bonita Springs, FL area.

Thanks again for all your helpful and non-judgemental feedback. For people like myself and my husband who are relatively new to the RV life it is so wonderful to have people to turn to for their opinions and experieince.
