Pettibone RV Resort La Crosse, WI

We left Chamberlain SD, around 8:30 AM (Thursday) and arrived in LaCrosse, Wisc at the Pettibone RV Resort (on Mississippi River) around 4:15 PM.. Any one driving on I-90 beware there are State Patrol's everyware in, SD -- Minnesota.. Leaving in the morning for Menomonie, Michigan right on the Wisconsin/Michigan state line. Staying at the River Edge County campground.. 2 1/2 hour drive and we are home..

Karen, tell us about Pettibone. We've never stayed there.
Most times we're in that area we go to the County Parks or Neschonoc Lake. Another easy stopover is at the Osseo exit.

Ray it is a nice park, lots of old big oak and maple trees. Very well maintained. They have no sewer. Mississippi river backwaters on both sides of park. they have Cable, but don't gurantee that it will work. It is a good Sam Park, and still had to pay $35.13 and that is with the G.S. Discount. The site that we are in has 30 amp. Thanks Ray, will keep other areas in mind in the future.

You guys travel safe and glad to hear you are almost home. We where going to stop and see some of the Winter Texas bunch but they where not home so we just came on into KC got here about 4:15, glad to sleep in my own bed.
