Gang:
Our parent's generation chose to "Remember Pearl Harbor" for 50 years or more. Should we do any less to "Remember 9-11"? I heard on TV that 18 New York City Firefighters died THIS YEAR from medical conditions assumed to be caused by toxic materials exposure in the 9-11 aftermath.

Reflecting on the 3 attack attempts of 9/11, the terrorists won attack #1 at the World Trade Center, and we are still suffering from that to this day. But the terrorists also lost that one in that they educated us - before 9/11 the only buildings tested to be airliner crash proof were nuclear reactor containment buildings. Now all architects worldwide know how to make tall buildings impervious to such attacks, including the Liberty Tower which replaced the World Trade center.

Attack #2 against the Pentagon was less successful, only 1/4 of the building was made inoperable, and the building was repaired and made fully functional again in about 2 years.

But the biggest target for the terrorists, the planned attack on the United States Capitol building, was a complete and utter failure due to the courage and bravery of everyday Americans that ended up crashing in Shanksville, Pennsylvania to save their fellow Americans.

Never Forget!
