Hi to all,
You might think I've lost my mind taking on this project but it's got to be done. the kitchen sink had a leak unbeknownst to me and the AC leaked for a minute. Needless to say tomorrow I am removing my kitchen and the entire subfloor and replacing it. There is a large tank under the living room floor I know I need to be careful with; but I'm wondering if you guys can give me any advice so I don't really mess something up. I'm speaking of the integrity of the frame or something major like that. I think I should replace one sheet at a time for that reason; unless y'all think it would be ok to take out all the subfloor and then install the new. I was also thinking of adding more joists 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 and connecting them with lag bolts through the metal frame for additional support.
I would appreciate any and all comments, ideas, and prayers y'all can offer!
The following needs to go elsewhere but I really want to reconfigure the kitchen while it's out...so if anyone has done this or if it's elsewhere here, please direct me or please start a new
thread and let me know what you did! My biggest issue is counterspace! Or the lack thereof! And I would also like to get rid of the heater stuff under the fridge, install full-size fridge, and tankless water heater (all for another thread, I understand!)
I will truly appreciate all of the knowledge you can offer!! I am divorced and live in the 5th wheel full time. I also have small construction/remodeling company but haven't really done too much on RV's. Some...not much. I am confident...just need knowledge, and I know you guys know what you're talking about!!
Thanks in advance,
