Depending on your willingness to travel, there are 2 thousand Trails Parks, kind of close. Lake Whitney and Bay Landing. Lake Whitney is south toward Waco, then Bay Landing is NW of Fort Worth area.
We have not stayed in either but have friends who have, and they liked both parks. But next year we are planning on staying in both parks.
