slide room roller bearing gone bad again

Had the roller bearing go out again, had it replaced about a year ago, Its the large gray roller under the off door side slide out under the fridg. Has anyone had this issue ?? We are on our way back to MI. from Fl. and on one of our stops I found bearings all on the floor. I was told to put a peace of thin wood under the roller so it doesn't damage the leno and kinda push back on the top facia of the slide while the wife retracts the slideout to minimize the pressure on the roller, so far so good.

I haven't looked, but is there some way to lubricate the roller bearings. Maybe a squirt of oil or silicone occasionally would help with that problem.

Almost sounds like the reefer isn't sitting in the opening quite right, causing undue pressure on that particular roller. Has the reefer ever been pulled out for service?

Well John, I suppose you could squirt some lube in there, not sure if it would get to the right places or not. Gus, no the refer has never been out of the coach to be repaired. I was told that because of so much weight on these big slides on the 3580 horns and Landmark Pinhursts that this does happen on occasion.

I am so surprised that I have had over 100 viewers on this thread and only 2 replies and nobody in our Heartland family forum has had this problem before. " Ain't I the lucky one " !!

Does sound like you're the "lucky one" designee on this one Bobby. Our 4-door reefer is in the Super Slide on our Grand Canyon and the area under the reefer has the big rollers (they appear to be around 6" in length each) and so far we've had no issues with them (hang on while I knock on something made of real wood) either with marking the floor or breaking down. Can't provide anymore suggestions. Hope you find a solution.

Yep that is the one. grey in color, just gonna have it replaced again, maybe start trying to squirt some lub in it every now and then.
