Spare Tire Removal on an Edge M18

Hello folks, I’ve got a 2010 Heartland Edge M18 and wondering if anyone has removed the spare tire that’s stored underneath . (How?)
Unfortunately I had to drive for about 5 hours in the rain, checked underneath, and found that moisture had got in above the black paper membrane in the front right. I’m removing It so it can dry properly, but need to drop my spare. Does anyone know if it cranks dow? I’ve had it for 10 years and never had to take it off.

Oh, just found it. There’s a crank running through the frame to lower and raise it.
