wet carpet water intrusion

went into our 2018 Torque 327 after it had been raining for few hours, the rain had been off & on with a few heavy down pours. The carpet strip on the slide out was soaking wet by the garage doorway & kitchen sink, less wet toward the front of the camper. Found some water under the bottom drawer and in the heat duct/vent in the floor. The top and sides of the slide out were dry, ceiling was dry. Dry under the stove & by the hot water heater. Not connected to city water and the pump was OFF. Walls & windows were dry.
Never leaked before even during a heavy down pouring rain all night one night.
Any ideas where to start looking for the water intrusion.

If your slide was retracted and you don't have slide toppers, check that nothing got trapped at the top of the slide when it got retracted. Twigs, pine cones, any debris can affect how tight the seals are. If the slide was out, make sure the seals are all deployed properly with no folds or gaps. Especially check the corners at the top of the slide opening.

If your slide was out, it is possible to have a leak where the slde roof meets the inner fascia. For some reason, Heartland does not seal the slide roof where it meets the inner fascia/trim. Water can leak past the wiper seal on the roof and get into this gap. To check for this. with a fully open slide, close it slightly and climb on a stool so you can see this area from the inside of the trailer. If a gap is there, seal this area with Dicor the full length of the slide.

pretty sure I found the problem this morning, thanks to old himmers kicking in, the window behind the recliners got left open inch or so. Happens when you pull the shades all the way down & you never look at the windows from the outside. Couple of fans running all day & got the carpet dried out. See how it goes the next few days camping.
