Winterizing RoadWarrior 425RW

Good afternoon folks,

Last weekend I started winterizing the 2014 road warrior 425RW that I had
bought new this June past.

Having released the water heater pressure, and emptying it, I turned the
switch to winterise, and used the on board pump at the panel to start
pumping RV Antifreeze through the system. I noted that the antifreeze
started coming out of the drain, as I had not replaced the drain plug of
the water heater. I am unable to physically locate a by pass valve for the
water heater, and I've had trailers before, so I have an idea of what to
look for. Neither could other people who I asked.

So please show me what I am doing wrong, and if a by pass valve is there,
where it actually is.

My other issue I need to know about please, is the valves for emptying the
grey and black water. The two at the front of the trailer, which is which?
The label on the cover name both grey and black, but this label shows their
names as one above the other, and the valves are side by side? The grey
and black water valves at the rear section. Once again the label shows
these valves and names them as one on top of the other. Thankfully they
are one on top of the other, but in the interest of clarification please
confirm which is which.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

In your Universal Docking Center (UDC), below the 4-way Anderson Valve, you should have a lever that rotates 90 degrees to bypass the water heater. Somewhere in the UDC, or perhaps on the cargo door, there should be a large diagram that shows all the connections and controls.

I've attached a photo from a Landmark 365, but yours should be similar.

If your RW doesn't have this, you'll have to take down the rear wall of the pass through storage behind the UDC where you'll find three separate valves behind the water heater.

Steve, the black and grey tanks. It's really trial And error, but the tanks on my cyclone are as follows. My front tanks are Side by side and the black tank is the back lever. Both "B's" for Back and Black. Same with the rear, accept they are Up and down Again, both are "B's". Bottom is Black.

Hope this helps

Many thanks, I'll really kick myself if that is the way it is! I can't have missed something so simple as the valve being right in front of me, but my wife would comment that's typical. My UDC doesn't look quite the same as that but very similar. Thanks he pass through idea, that makes total sense as well. Cheers!

My road warrior you have to pull down the wall in the storage to get to the bypasses.

Could just be coincidence on our Cyclone but the top listed (on the access door)dump valve is the forward most in the compartment; true for front and back.
