That red switch is for the electrical side of the water heater. There may also be a small rocker switch on the water heater itself.
Be sure to have water in the water heater before turning the electrical switch on.
Odd that the service guy didn't know that.

Since you installed new valves be sure that all valves are manually closed.
On the ends of each valve there is a means to close the valve using a 3/16" Allen. CC is closed.
If they are open or partially open you will experience what you are describing.

I have a 2011 3585RL, so same floorplan.
Have you checked the caulking top, bottom, sides? Three sides of the window?
What area of the floor is rotted?

If your switch is under the threshold there should be a small magnet on the bottom of the door near the hinge end.
You can test that switch by using the south end of a magnet. Put it over the area that the door magnet would be. Observe what your light does. You should be able to make it go on...
One is labeled city water. That should be your city water hookup, the otter unlabeled should be you black tank flush.
The best way to identify would be to hook your hose to the one marked city water and turn on a faucet. If you get water, bingo.

It sounds like you are on the right troubleshooting track.
I would certainty want to visit the transfer switch. There have been a number of owner reports finding loose, burnt wires there.
You can also use your multimeter to check power from the generator there.
Be sure to come back and let us...
My guess is that if you were to ride in your trailer and your tires were not balanced you would feel the vibration of an out of balance tire just as you would if the same situation were to occur in your vehicle.
Years ago I bought some new tires for a camper I had and when I picked them up I...
What ever you decide to do just be sure to disconnect the neutral cable (-) first and connect it last.
Fully charged battery is 12.75 volts. 12.88 to be exact.
Use your multimeter to check voltage.
Also if it's a flooded battery check the electrolyte (water) level. Top off with distilled...

I've moved you out of the girls room.
And to clarify for those of us that don't know, a layby is what we in the states call a rest stop. Thank you Google.

If it's just a storm door you're looking to have I know a few people, including myself, that have cut and installed plexiglass to create a storm door.
My upper panel is removable with the use of small plastic clips. One person used smoked color plexi for his Landmark. Plenty of options to...
Since you opened the pressure relief valve and didn't get any water it sounds like you need to revisit your winterizing bypass valves . You should have seen water.

Guesstimate taking in to account where you think the bolts should be on your worn shackles. If your off by a little bit you will still be able to order the correct size. I think there are only two sizes available for our trailers. I have used both sizes on my trailer. Both worked fine. The only...
Does your trailer suspending have the Equaflex buffer?
You will need to measure thebolt to bolt distance on your shackles, they come in different sizes.
Here is a link to a shackle kit at Tweetys.com it may not be the correct size for you but you can search for your size...
There are a couple places you can look.
Look on the outside wall, driver side near the front, look fior a yellow sticker on the door jamb and look on the tongue frame for a stamped number.
Also the fine print of the sales brochure says something to the effect of production changes without...
Depending on the brand of your water heater you may have the anode rod that Len described or you may have a plastic plug.
Since water goes to the lowest point look near the lower edge on the outside of your water heater.

Do you have a converter and inverter?
Motor homes can be a little different than towables.
Perhaps a motorhome forum would have the answer you seek.

Well, I am not familiar with your floor plan but instead of dropping the black tank consider an inspection snake cam or after dropping the underbelly or cutting a hole in it try to reach up in there with your cell phone and take a picture.
When I had a soft spot I cut a three sided flap in the...
That soft spot may not be due to water. It could be an area of the floor that was modified from the bottom to accommodate plumbing or heat runs.
Try to access from below and you may be able to reinforce that area from there.
